MunmuBaram Participates in the Korea–Sweden Sustainable Partnership Summit and Signs MOU with SK Oceanplant

(16 October 2025) MunmuBaram Co., Ltd. joined the Korea–Sweden Sustainable Partnership Summit alongside Hexicon AB, its sole shareholder, which took part as part of the official Swedish delegation.

The summit brought together around 150 high-level representatives from both countries — including Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Andreas Carlson and Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources, Moon Shin-hak — to explore new opportunities for collaboration on climate action, energy transition, and technological innovation.

During the event, Hexicon AB was introduced as one of Sweden’s official delegation companies, highlighting its role in fostering cross-border cooperation in clean energy. MunmuBaram, which is developing a 750MW floating offshore wind project off the coast of Ulsan, was recognized as a leading example of successful industrial collaboration between Sweden and Korea.

At the summit, MunmuBaram signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SK oceanplant Co., Ltd. to strengthen cooperation on floater fabrication and localization strategies. Under this MOU, the two companies will explore joint opportunities in fabrication planning, technology collaboration, and supply chain development to advance Korea’s floating offshore wind industry.

This collaboration stands as a strong example of how Sweden and Korea are jointly shaping the future of the clean energy industry. Building on this partnership, MunmuBaram will continue to strengthen its role as a bridge between global technology and local industrial capabilities—contributing to a resilient offshore wind ecosystem and advancing the competitiveness of Korea’s regional industries.
