MunmuBaram Joins Ulsan City Roundtable on Floating Offshore Wind

(26 February 2026) MunmuBaram Co., Ltd. took part in a high-level roundtable convened by Ulsan Metropolitan City to examine the next phase of floating offshore wind development.

Chaired by Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, the session brought together members of the Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Association, public energy institutions, industry leaders, academic experts and civil society representatives to assess current challenges and align on the sector’s forward trajectory.

Following the implementation of Korea’s Special Act on Offshore Wind Power, and ahead of the formal launch of national-level institutional mechanisms, the Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Association noted the increasingly pivotal role of local governments. Strengthening formal public–private consultative bodies, stakeholder engagement, and industrial linkages at the municipal level was identified as key to stable project development.

Ulsan City reiterated its commitment to advancing initiatives within its mandate while engaging central ministries on areas requiring regulatory refinement.

MunmuBaram will continue working alongside Ulsan City and regional stakeholders to help translate policy ambition into project execution, supporting the disciplined growth of floating offshore wind as a defining pillar of Ulsan’s energy transition.
